The new threesome produced one terrific Eric track and as these things often go, the new album promised for 2014 has yet to materialize. Until that time, I've put together my second Eric rarities compilation (I've re-upped the first). Thanks to Mick and Eric himself for sharing many of these tracks.
1 It Takes a Wrecking Ball - New (as yet unreleased) Sheloom track featuring Eric on vocals
2 Too Old to Fall in Love - From R. Stevie Moore Tribute "Best of 'Copy Me': RSM Tribute Project"
3 We're Open Tonight - Unreleased Paul McCartney cover
4 Exactly Like Them - Track from unreleased album "Too Much World"
5 Stellar Stranger - Japanese bonus track from "The Lateness of the Hour"
6 Lids, Nails, and Screws - B-side of "Fanfare" EP
7 The Big Side of You- Japanese bonus track from "Six Kinds of Passion Looking For an Exit"
8 Shop Girl - Unreleased Instrumental written by Mark Eitzel
9 So Clean - Japanese bonus track from "Six Kinds of Passion Looking For an Exit"
10 Pink - Track from unreleased album "Too Much World"
11 Show Me - Unreleased ABC cover
12 Untitled - Japanese bonus track from "The Lateness of the Hour"
13 A Certain Kind - B-side of "Fanfare" EP
14 Every Christian Lion Hearted Man - Solo demo of Bee Gees cover

Brilliant, thanks so much - the link to the first Eric Matthews comp seems to direct to a blank mediafire page though. ?
Glad you like. Sorry about the broken link. Should be fixed now. Let me know if it works for you now.
Works fine now, thanks so much. I love this blog and look forward to your posts very much.
Thanks, as allways great work.
Eric
I cannot describe my gratitude for these Eric rarity comps. I was once a devoted Powerpop/Psych pop fan but these days I rarely listen to any music, and then only a few artists like Eric, Scott Miller(RIP), the Jellyfish albums and Owsley (RIP).
Thankyou so much for both the compilations, sir.
After finding your comps I then remembered that there were some demos of Eric's third album around about 10 years ago. Do you by any chance have a copy of these?
Not sure about the etiquette in asking, but after Googling I've come up with nothing.
Thanks so much for posting this. Maybe we'll get to hear Too Much World someday. I used to hunt for that 3rd album demos comp as well, but never had any luck. Then there was The Imagination Stage pre order on Empyrean Records that was supposed to come with a disc of 2 bonus songs (I forget the names). I never received mine, but maybe someone did.
I'm glad everyone is enjoying some of these Eric Matthews tracks. I don't have either of the requests however. I haven't seen demos on "Six Kinds of Passion" nor do I have either bonus song from The Imagination stage. Actually at this point, I'm afraid that I'm almost out of Eric rarities. The only tracks I have left to repost were uploaded in the comments of my first Eric Matthews post. They are from two KCRW sessions and though the music is quite good, the recordings sound like digitized cassette tapes. Perhaps Eric will post some of the requested tracks in his Youtube channel. He's been kind enough to do that in the past. Appreciate everyone's comments.
Just noticed this Exactly Like Them maxi single the other day and 3 of the 4 songs were new to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuR9zQA0ijs&list=PLwh-s5GVPArgnznIoIq43FnOcCnZbNWbg
Wow. Thanks for pointing this one out. Had missed it. From a couple of articles it looks like Eric is finally releasing his 2010 epic "Too Much World" at long last sometimes this month. I checked the track listing against the EP you turned me on to. Only "Exactly Like Them" shows up on my track listing from a few years ago:
1 Pink
2 God Loves His Children
3 The Next Ghost (I Hope It's Not You)
4 Dragonfly
5 Exactly Like Them
6 Shadow's Fall
7 Factual Extreme
8 Never Mind Now
9 Ten More Masters
10 Your Mom’s At Midnight
11 A Quiet Place Where We Can Go (Instrumental)
12 Too Much World
Really like the tracks on this EP so thank you again for the post. Great news
